The available literature and the internet offer a good deal of general information about the Barrier Islands but there is an absence of specific and practical advice. The Guide provides information about where to go, where to camp, where the best launch points are to paddle to any of the islands, where to hike, and what you'll find when you arrive. It also includes advice related to weather, wind, tides, and safety . The pictures in the galleries are labeled with reference to the specific locations described in the Guide. Much of the information in the Guide was gained from personal experience and is not available elsewhere. Included maps for each island show all of the features of interest. I am confident that you will find the Guide of value. Charging a fee for access to the Guide is a last resort and I'm hoping that user donations will cover the cost of the hosting service. Donations may be made with PayPal or with credit card.
